Annual “Town Halls”

In the United States, town halls are a common way for national politicians to reconnect with their constituents during recesses when they are in their home districts away from Washington, D.C. Wikipedia

This should be mandatory in any well functioning democracy.

How can our representatives represent our views if they haven’t consulted us on what we think?

Who do our representatives really represent if they only listen to their party activists between elections?
